The Amnezia VPN tech team has prepared another update. It makes the app easier to work with, engages new system tools, and gets around blockings more inventively.
Updating to AmneziaVPN 5.0.0.5 is mandatory for all Amnezia Premium and Amnezia Free users.
General Improvements
Amnezia VPN 5.0.0.5 introduces:
- Support for the AmneziaWG 3.0 protocol — we’ll cover it in a separate blog entry; stay tuned!
- The ability to install and configure the MTProxy and Telemt proxy services.
- Expanded VLESS configurations — now you can change not only the SNI and port of the XRay protocol, but also transport, security, flow, and additional XHTTP and mKCP parameters.
We also improved the app’s stability and fixed a number of bugs.
Platform-Specific
- Windows, Linux, and macOS — an update wizard is available directly in the app, along with a changelog window.
- macOS — a version that supports the system Network Extension framework is now available in the App Store. The app is now also compatible with ARM-based processor devices, such as the Apple M1, M2, etc.
- Android — optimized performance on newer devices: we increased the supported page size to 16 KB.
